I read this article about a wildfire in California that threatens homes near Yosemite. I keep on thinking, why don’t we build upwards in the city? People building too close to the wilderness will always be threatened by wildfires. Every time I hear about these fires, I think about this line that line in Batman Begins that Ra’s Al Ghul says to Bruce Wayne/Batman.

I think that it should be natural that a forest burns down when it grows too wild. The same that could be said about the people building their houses in these areas. We should really start building up in the city and metro areas, so we do not encroach on wildlife and ecosystems.
