Recently on The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert interviewed Carl Pope, executive director of the Sierra Club, in a segment entitled “Better Know a Lobby.” In typical Colbert fashion, he asked the tough questions that most reporters are afraid to ask. We all know that Pope has hugged a tree, but has he ever gone all the way with a tree?
Bravo to Colbert for another piece of biting satire, and kudos to Pope for playing along. It’s good to see that environmentalists can laugh at themselves. And thanks to the good people at hulu, you can laugh at them too.
